Finacially better to be married in Spain?

Inheritances: There is not legal usufruct for the widow member of an union fact. Therefore not as protected as a widow of a marriage by Law.

Retirement pensions: the union fact member who goes to retirement cannot ask for higher amounts if the couple  is under his/her  financial care.

Widow pension: Not existent for widow members of  union facts.

The Income Tax declaration can not be done jointly.

 The union fact condition is not aplicable in taxes reduction.  Just every member individually can obtain the fiscal deduction out of having children.

There is not legal  compensatory pension for the financially damaged party in a  separation/divorce.

 Te broken of  union facts is not nationally regulated. Judges wil be doing analogical application of Law in some cases.The use of the commun house after separation/divorce is always to the owner.

Sanitary assistance: Need to prove the financial dependency and the living together for almost a year.

Am I correct in assuming that by "union fact" you mean what we usually term "common-law partners" - that is, an un-married couple?

In the case of an un-married couple jointly owning a property (50/50), what would be the inheritance tax liability for the surviving partner on the 50% share of the property they inherit? And is there any benefit for an un-married couple registering as a "pareja registrada" (is that the correct term?) with their town hall, especially in terms of inheritance tax?
