Try baby oil, it's fantastic for cleaning toaster kettle etc.

Yes, it buffs S/S up a treat and was recommended by the manufacturer for cleaning the trim on my kitchen units.
I've tried some of the products designed for cleaning S/S and they mark it even more, so now it's a quick wipe with a soapy cloth and buff with baby oil for a brilliant finish.
