Thanks Fibby for your good wishes,nerves are creeping in but i'm sure i'll be okay,now i'm down to less than a week,6 more sleeps as my young one says.will let you all know how i settle in meanwhile merry xmas to all!!!

Hi everyone
Me and the wife are early 30's, I am a electrician & the wife a nurse we now have our house under offer and should be moving to our apartment on the costa del sol in maybe 8 weeks or less. The reason for the post is that I was all cool and relaxed about moving over to spain, but after reading all the posts on this thread it has hit me like a ton of bricks. Oh my god a new life, a new business to set up , no family and just learned everyone at home has organized a leaving do for us. Anyway hope everyone who has posted and is there now is settling in ok. Lastly if there is anyone moving to the arroyo de la miel area or near before us and would like to meet up when we arrive dont hesitate to pm us.

How exciting...I remember the feeling. We did it all wrong at the beginning but we're still here, so we must have done something right.
I'm sure you'll be fine.
We're about 40 minutes from Arroyo de la Miel but if you want to meet up just pm me and we can meet half way for a coffee and a chat when you're over.
