From another forum that I have joined:

"Anyone travelling over the Christmas period should be aware that there is a possibility of a strike at all BAA airports, Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Southampton.

If it goes ahead it is scheduled to commence on Boxing Day.

Easyjet told me yesterday that if the strike goes ahead they will not know about alternative travel arrangements until the day of travel.

BAA is in talks with the unions. There is a banner on the individual airport website with the latest info."

On all the BAA websites, there is the following announcement:

"Potential strike action

We regret that the threat of industrial action over the Christmas period is creating uncertainty for our passengers and their families. No industrial action has yet been announced and we're working hard to resolve this issue with the unions. Our first priority is to ensure that there is no disruption to our passengers and their travel plans."

Hope it is all hot air from the unions and no- one is disrupted because of it.

Mark

At least we'll be stuck for getting back and not for going.
