No, we haven't actually met up with many couples from the main EOS site, but have met quite a few people from our 'Mar Y Sol' development site. It's not that we haven't wanted to but have had limited time in Spain so far. All that is set to change as my OH will be semi-retired from the end of the month and we are going out to Spain for 8 weeks in Feb/Mar. and another 3 weeks in June. Can't wait to be honest!!! Mike will continue to work maybe 3 days a week (he's a chartered engineer) from April until when or if we decide to sell our house here in UK. It doesn't seem like 2008 is going to be a good year for downsizing or selling up but if you listen to the 'pundits' neither will the next few years after that. We haven't made up our mind what to do yet but maybe will have a clearer idea when we return in April. Mike will need to keep on working if we inted to run the 2 places for any lengh of time.
Strangely enough we met up with a couple in Toronto who post ed as 'beavertail' last summer! We just happened to be visiting Canada and the US just after they posted so we pm them and spent a great time with them and hope that we might meet up in Spain or here in UK before they fly back to Canada in May. They plan to sell up in Canada this year and relocate to Spain. How strange is that!!

We will be mobile as we are taking the car in Feb.(packed full of stuff) and when we fly we always hire a car at the airport.

Becky was fab! Not long till we're joining you's Semijubilada, Jules1 & Hudsey, I think a rather large BBQ will be on the cards with the full dreamhills community. Is there a section of grass big enough?? 
I think EOS will need to start organising rather large get togethers for everyone to meet up. Would they be called reunions?? What's the word I'm looking for?

Hi all,
BBQ sounds good to me too! Jock and Elaine when are you completing at Dream Hills 2. Are you going to be living there all the time or using as a holiday home? I am the latter, but hope to be able to extend my visits each year. I hate it when I have to come back to the cold!!!!!!!!!!

Nice to be typing you!! We are also the latter, wishing we were the former!! We are contracted to complete in April this year, but we were over in September and our agent advised it would probably be earlier this year. Still not heard anything yet, but quite glad at this precise moment going on the state of the Euro.
Can't wait for the BBQ, has everyone decided on a pud??

Julia has the cutest two Cavaliar King Charles spaniels, folks. I've had cuddles from them.
I see another meet in the not too distant future. We'll need to resurrect the WHO'S UP FOR A MEET, POST HERE ! thread, won't we ?

Mmmmmm toasted marshmallows, delicious. However has anyone noticed that they just don't toast the way they used to? Tried it on a recent camping trip and they melted on the stick!

Hi Elaine, hope the move goes well for you and the exchange rate improves. Can't wait to meet up with more EOS people. It was lovely meeting up with Moresado and her husbaqnd last year. Thanks More for your lovely comments about my 'girls', they can certainly use their lovely facial expressions to get what they want!!!! The youngest one, Shannon used to be quite nervy, but has developed a new found confidence since her 2 months in Spain!
Actually I was so pleased that they thoroughly enjoyed the travel down to Spain in the car and were exceptionally well behaved. So, if there are any people out there toying with the idea of driving their dogs down to Spain, it can work really well. We only needed 1 overnight stop going down and 2 on the way home in order to get the necessary treatment from a vet at least 24hour, but less than 48 hours before getting on the train at the tunnel. I will certainly do it again this year.

Could you give me the name and town of vet that you used before coming back to the tunnel for the U.K.? We also have two king Charles spaniels, a ruby and a black and tan. We drove to Murcia last Summer for two months and used a lovely vet near Clermont Ferrand. We had to spend the night in Calais though to make up the time. Etap/Formula 1/Ibis Hotels are great for taking dogs into the rooms and so are restaurants!
