Help swell Emma's fund - I will donate £4 for every guide sold

Gosh I stay out for the weekend and missed all the heat - Fibbs I dont care what anyone says I think you are great and if they have problems with you elsewhere stay out. This is going public

 IT WAS MY SUGGESTION THAT YOU PUT A PRICE ON IT AND MY SUGGESTION YOU MARKET IT ON E BAY COZ WHEN YOU FIRST MENTIONED IT ON THE SITE PEOPLE WERE ASKING YOU FOR A COPY OF IT AND MAKING NO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT BY WAY OF A SIMPLE "THANK YOU" THAT THEY HAD RECEIVED IT. WE PM'D ONE ANOTHER AND MENTIONED HOW DISAPPOINTING IT WAS THAT WHEN ONE REPLIED TO A PM YOU DIDNT KNOW IF THE INFO HAD BEEN RECEIVED OR HAD BEEN USEFUL OR ANYTHING ELSE. THAT WAS WHEN I SUGGESTED YOU PUT A VALUE ON THE GUIDE AND SELL IT - THAT WAY PEOPLE WERE MORE LIKELY TO APPRECIATE IT AND YOU WOULD CERTAINLY KNOW IT HAD BEEN RECEIVED - WELL IF THEY HAD PAID FOR IT AND NOT RECEIVED IT THEY WOULD KICK UP A STINK.

However it was you out of the kindness of your heart that decided to pay a proportion of your proceeds to Emma's fund - anyone narrow minded enough not to accept that as being a kind hearted well intentioned and needed contribution doesnt even deserve the least if your attention. For those references to other charities I dont know what % of funds raised actually gets to the needy - I seem to recall the big boys having CEO's on six figure incomes. They also pay celebrities to do things like charity auctions etc - even charity seems to be business these days with few exceptions.

I promised myself not to respond to any more posts regarding this subject and I kept my word all weekend, but it was hard believe me! I have been so very upset by what has been said in another forum, the vile things they said about me etc.,

And then it started on EOS too..............I really wanted to give up at that stage.........I could not go to work today, threw a sickie..........

I even posted  to other threads on EOS like there was no tomorrow, to push the subject to the bottom, hence my posting on the "health thread" for new nails & knuckles!!

BUT I just have to say a PUBLIC thank you to Smiley for redeeming me, because he knew the truth from day one.

All Smiley has said is totally true, I was giving this guide away free on this forum, (and yes, JeanSis, you did thank me!), until Smiley suggested to put a price on it. One of our members can vouch for this as I sent them the last "free" guide on the same day as my website went live. I told them I wouldn't charge them for it as my website had only just been published within the last hour or so.

I didn't even know about the appeal for Emma at that stage.

So, I started to sell it.

People still wanted the guide, even though the knew it had been free before.

And no, I am not a millionnaire, my bank balance is in fact overdrawn by over £1,000!!

Then I heard about Emma from postings on EOS and decided to give some of the proceeds to her fund.

Some people on another forum, think I should have given ALL of the proceeds, but that is because they did not know the full story. That is not what happens when someone decides to donate from something that was conceived before the charity was brought to their attention. Had they given me the chance to continue posting, I could have explained the full situation to them.

I hope that some of them read this and take the true story back to their members. I will never know, as I am banned from even reading their forum now.

So far, I have no complaints from buyers of the guide. I truly wish there had been one around that I could have bought to help me pay my own taxes!

Anyway, that's it, I really AM closing the file on this discussion now.

I apologise to Justin for posting about it again but I think that this may now show people how things were so badly miscontrued on that other site.

Fibby, it's not right for them to have caused you so much stress.  I think we should nickname them "Spanish Property Insults" from now on.

If they did feel you were going against their terms of use then they should have handled it correctly.  We don't publically abuse people here when they try to sell something, like we had a couple of weekends ago. 

They had all their facts wrong on the Insults site so I wouldn't pay any attention to them.

I've had some abuse on that "Spanish Property Insults" forum too but I really don't care, I'm too thick skinned for that.  Who are they at the end of the day? 

I won't say any more on this subject as I could go on.

We think you're great Fibby and a wonderful contributor to this forum.  You're amongst friends here!

Tis true you were treated appallingly and there was just no need for it. When people try to rile or upset me I usually say "I'm sorry did I do something to offend you in a former life?" or "would you like some salt and vinegar to go on that chip on your shoulder?" Failing that you could just rell them that your mates from EOS will be round to chuck them in the stingies!!! Just keep telling yourselves that these morons are just not worth it. You are doing a great job and thisis the best forum anyway, who needs them???? Keep up the good work.   And if it wasn't for you how would I have ever got in a bucket??? Still trying!!

I think this thread has "gone off course" slightly!

I myself have contributed to this also, so no blame lies at anyones door.

A fresh start is needed for all those that are interested to read about my contributions to Emma's fund.

And for those that are not, please post any cynical comments to this thread only!

So, it's tarra for now, see you on the new thread Friday.

Before the unfortunate events of last weekend, this thread was purely for information on how much had been donated to Emma's fund and to thank those who had made those contributions possible.

I think this thread has "gone off course" slightly!

I myself have contributed to this also, so no blame lies at anyones door.

A fresh start is needed for all those that are interested to read about my contributions to Emma's fund.

And for those that are not, please post any cynical comments to this thread only!
