I have just found this forum and I am so pleased that there are lots of questions asked and more importantly lots of questions are answered as well. Your forum looks good for feedback and advice.
My husband Robert and I decided to buy a property in Jumilla back in Nov 06. We were put in touch with PSI who were recommended by Ambasun. We were told that our property would be completed by May 08 and up to now the only positive thing is that the foundations have been laid and that is it !!! We have not got any bank guarantee and at the moment we feel out on a limb. We have as yet not contacted PSI so I dont know what if anything they can help us with. I have to say that Ambasun always sound positive but I cant help feeling that we ought to be able to have a bank guarantee for the original amount we gave them and also to have some guidance as to what compensation would be reasonable at this stage and also do you think it would be a good idea for us to get in touch with another Solicitor. We have not heard from PSI since the original meeting when we gave them the initial cheque for the property in Jumilla.
We would be grateful for any advice that you can give us on either Solicitors or indeed what she are able to do next. We understand there have been a few problems a long the way with San Jose and the land and also the licences but could someone please help and advise on what is the next step. We dont want to point any fingers but I think just need some advice as to what you would do in this situation. Would you seek out another Solicitor independent of PSI or would you get in touch with them? We would welcome any advice that you can offer. We are trying to keep positive but is there anyone out there who is feeling the same. We would also be welcome for any advice from Maria as per the Lawyers side of this situation.

Certainly I would change your lawyer to a 100% independant one who will act for you alone.
it's worrying that you haven't a Bank guarantee & this is illegal. All builders must, by Spanish law, give you a BG to protect your stage payments in the case of buying a new build off plan. Having said that we often hear of builders not doing this.
Maria will be able to advise so I'll go PM her on your behalf.

Hi Everyone who has replied to me since my 1st time on the Forum. I am just finding my way around this Forum so please forgive me if I have a delay in replying to the PM's. I have now requested to read my PM and am awaiting the permission.
I am very grateful for any advice and I will be in touch again when I can.
To Morerosado - It is worrying about the BG and although it is illegal for the Builder not to supply one I did speak to someone last year at San Jose and they said this would be forthcoming but I have heard nothing. I am going to sit tight until I hear from Maria to see how I can move forward. In the meantime thank you so much for your reply and I will keep in contact .
