HI Keith,

SORRY IF ANY OF MY COMMENTS HAVE UPSET YOU !!

As far as i am concerned we all are in the same business and  i am sure we agree on one thing that vacuum tube solar water heaters in what ever form are the most efficient availble. i don't want to get into an arguement over which type of system is best. Personally I think the most important thing is to find a reliable supplier with a good track record. I am proud to be associated with my supplier (deno solar equipment) which has producing quality solar water heaters for over 10 years. including high pressure units, flat plate units, non pressure units, pre heat units, and split systems. As I am sure your supplier does. The only difference is for our own personal reasons is, that we have chosen to supply different types of solar water heaters, that we think are most suited too our local market.

The reason I have chosen pre heat units, is that I have personally seen a number of high pressure units with problems (none of them are solar direct units).

As you know there are over 3.000 solar water heater manufacturers in China, so there are various qualities, in the  future I  may import  high pressure units too and like yourself I will pay attention to quality and relife valve design.

I think we should invite the public to give there opinion and experiences on solar water heaters they have and we can use the feed back to  work together to find the best sytem for the market !!

I  think one problem is that people have high expectations of solar water heating and some times forget a little comon sence is required.

for example going on holiday in summer and not covering the collector , putting extreme heat and pressure on the system !

Any way solar water heating is well worth while in what ever form and will provide free energy nearly all year here in spain !!

S0 FIT ONE NOW!!!

I've a solar water heater but I understand I got a panel solar system up in the roof. In winter we get quite a number of sunny days & my neighbors who have solar tube system didn't have to plug in their electricity to get hot water on these days.

I've to plug in my electricity from middlle of Oct up to now in order to get hot water for even 1 shower.  As far as I can see I'm not saving energy if i've to plug in on sunny days. I'm only saving energy in the summer but not winter even on sunny days.

I think I got a hopeless system from the builder who always gives me the cheapest of everything.

Hi,

I only sell vacuum tube units at the moment, But I have heard that flat plate units are not so good in the winter .

Flat plate units have been about for a long time and some builders tend to use them as they are dont know to much about the more modern vacuum tube units.

One advantage they do have is they are less sensative to over heating ,

sorry I cannot give to much advice on this type of system, but I am sure it will be saving some energy as the sun will be helping to heat the water a bit.

Maybe you could add a vacuum tube solar water heater to your existing system to increase performance in the winter.

Regards Tony cssolar

I have recently plumbed my dish washer into the solar hot water feed.

Most dish washers can accept pre heated water, this will save a lot of electrical energy and reduce bills !!

Any body tried feeding their washing machine with hot water ? I heard that it can cause problems with creasing as the rinse should be cold ?

Ever thought about using Free solar energy to heat your water ?

I fitted a Vacuum tube solar water heater to my house back in 2008 , it was one of the best thing I have done , it is amazing how well they work .

Since then I have been dealing with vacuum tube solar water heaters and have learnt a lot about different types and how they function .

I am helping Enera ( a Spanish company with their sales to the English speaking community )

Enera have a full range of systems including non preasure , pre heat , heat pipe and split units

And can be seen on display  Leroy Merlin

Please feel free to ask any questions regarding vacuum tube solar water heaters

PRICES FROM 329€ !!! ( temporary reduction  on  prices may go up again after  , be quick ! )
