Is the Spanish economy in severe trouble ?

Rixxy, I am so glad your move to Spain worked out. If it was not for our children being in the UK we would not hesitate to move over. The things you mention are all those we so appreciate when we visit. A stroll down to the beach in the evening, a drink at a bar as we watch the world go by; yes we can get these in the UK, but it's not the same bundled up in coat & scarf.
Our recent month's stay in Santiago de la Ribera has had a knock on effect already, we are far more relaxed - how long will it last? We have had great sunshine for the last week, still in shorts, but today has been non-stop rain so I'm back in trousers!
We have no regrets about our buy in Spain.

Good, Im gald to hear that and for many many thousands of people over the years past and present will say the same.
Somehow it brings you back to simplicity, things one really does appreciate about life just in general.
And I love the word manana - I use it now!!
Have a good one and by the way - whats that thing...rain?????
