Hi All,
When we bought our place in spain our address was
1st the plot number, THEN
2nd An entrance number followed by our apartment number
(completely different)
3rd on our bills it is the entrance number plus the plot number
(different again)
Does anyone know which of these will be the correct address
or where I can find out for sure what is correct.

You need to verify that in the Local Council. Local taxes department.

Makes no difference - the chances of you actually receiving your mail, whether correctly addressed or not, are slim. I think I'd go to your local main post office and ask them what address they would (possibly) deliver to, and then use that and hope.......

Hi Gypsy, we use the 2nd entrance number as our address, post finds us that we pick up at the little Post Office in the village, we were over in April and June and received all birthday cards from UK. Someone from Formentera might be able to help you more, but we have had no problems. Pat

I agree with Roberto in terms of receiving mailing, but, for you to have a fixed address so you can avoid any other legal issues-- which will be certainly minor and unmeaningful matters-- ( within the Admninistration, or for the paying of your bills..) or just to be certain on the real signs of your property, it would be advisable to verify that in the Local Council.

Town hall is usually the home of the local council
I would ask at the "urbanismo" dept. (planning) or "vias públicas" (public highways) dept. Someone should know. Although.....our street is variously known as Calle....., or Avenida....., depending on which map you use. Can't be both
