Thinking about moving and working in Spain
The Comments |
Hi All,
My partner and I are thinking of relocating to Spain, one of our primary concerns is employment. I have a background in Business Development (Senior Management), my knowledge of the spanish language is basic, but am prepared to learn the language in order to survive. I would be very grateful if you could possibly recommend me those organisations which are in the search of English speaking Business Development Consultants (Directors) where I can command an anual salary of around 80,000 euros. My specialisation is making businesses more accessible by delivering innovative access solutions towards niche markets.
If you can assist me, feel free to drop me a line by responding to this post, thank you.

Hi Martin,
The average wage in Spain is 16,000€ per annum.
To command anywhere near that level of salary you wouyld need to be absolutely Fluent in 3 languages or more and work in Madrid for YOUR own highly succesful company.
Best of luck
Georgia

Hi Martin,
Just read your thread, I too am a Business Development Consultant that specialises in the Recruitment , HR, markets. I have a friend that has lived in Spain for many years and she has advised me to continue working with my UK clients from Spain, as there is no way in a month of Sundays that I will earn 45k plus in Spain.
In order to get ANY decent work in Spain you must be fluent in the language, unless you want to work in a bar or restaurant on the coast
Regards
Mandy
