Hi Everyone just introducing ourselves
The Comments |
Tony & Jacqui just dropping a line to say hello to all. we are currently looking to move out to Rojales once we have sold our house. i am trying to find out some info regarding the new commercial center between Rojales and Beniofer, we are thinking of opening a business (any ideas). Also does anybody know what the levels of Health and Safety are generally in that area as we are both NEBOSH qualified and was wondering if that is an area we could explore.
Any comments much appreciated

Hi Tony & Jacqui. Welcome to the forum. Yes I have heard their is going to be a new commercial centre between Rojales and Benijofar, but when I have no Idea I can ask for around for you if you like? Health and Safety no idea, I have a son in law who is a officer in uk and has his degree, he came over to spend a week with us and seemed to think he could have a full time job in Spain. Other than that I am afraid I cannot help, but their will be other's on the forum that can. Do you speak Spanish? Pat

Hi Pat
Thank you for your reply.
Unfotuately we do not speak Spanish yet!! we start college in September and i have just ordered the Rosetta Stone DVD so i am hoping that we can start picking it up soon. Some people say it is easy some say it is hard lets hope i think its easy. i have found a company in Rojales that are selling the units but i can't get any info from them as they dont speak any English (not that they should its Spain).
We are going to try and find out more on the Health & Safety and maybe set up a company for the English Businesses around Rojales.
Many Thanks Tony

Hi Danman
I too have Rosetta Stone, it is good if you are dedicated, but I find that it is written for American users and the Spanish used tends to be South American?Mexican
some of the words (nouns) used differ from Spain but would be understood, a bit like the Americans say Elevator, Sidewalk, Fender etc we know what they mean but we would say Lift, Footpath and Bumper. Most people out here would agree that theres nothing like "The real thing" and it can be both fun and educational talking to local Spanish people about everyday subjects.
Anyway best of luck
