Dot EU Websites.

hI all,
I was just trying to get an idea of what people think to .EU websites i.e www.freddyfrog.eu
I have just registered another company at the equivalent of Company house here in Spain(Mercantil Register) and trhe www address available is an EU one.
I could go for the name with dashes and hyphons in and try and get the .com but it seems easier to go with .EU.
What do you think???

I haven't come across any .eu domains in my travels across the web. Would the .es domain not be better if available? .com is associated with the USA, but it is in reality for businesses. How about .eu.com, I believe that is now an option? I suppose if you are ranked highly in search engines, people won't think too much about it. I don't tend to look at the domains offered in a search return, so long as the content suits my needs in the initial description.

georgia, the best thing to do is register the domain name for the country that you're mainly targetting as a business.
If the UK is your target market then you should register a .co.uk domain. This helps with search engine rankings in the UK.
I don't see any problems with .eu domains, they will certainly become more popular, they are relatively new.
