Hi
Murcia is a big region and you didnt say if you wanted "beach" or inland. Your ages also makes a difference to where you should look. I live in Murcia region and have no regrets about moving here. Whilst it is quiet here but not dead most of the year there are many places to go and its easy to make friends. Flights from the U.K. are cheap and plentiful. Happy hunting

Hi Mizz,
Yes Murcia region is lovely. We have spent two Summers there and hope to move out next year. The seaside is more expensive and tends to be quieter in Winter. The airport is San Javier and has lots of flights from the U.K.
We stayed in Estrelle de Mar by the sea and love Los Alcazares which is nearby.
If you like a bit inland there are some nice Spanish towns like Torre Pacheco, Balsicas and Roldan. We have friends who live on a lovely estate of 172 villas called Lomas de Roldan on the edge of the Spanish town.
Best wishes
