Still no address on property bought 12 months ago
The Comments |
I wonder if any one can give any advice on our situation.
We bought an off plan property 12months ago and have been waiting ever since for it to have an offical address. Although the property has a number of the house and the development, we are told there is no street name and that is why no post is going to the houses. The developer was going to look in to this, but we can get no further forward with any information.
Has anyone else been in the same situation and how can this be resolved. Is it the developer who needs to sort it out or the local council?

Hi Kernow
Not sure where in Spain you are but we are on the Costa Blanca and we got our street names last year just short of the Urbanisation being five years old. We had names for the roads but where told that these could change which a couple have but the main where what the council said they would be. It is the Council/Town Hall that do this and the best way to find out in advance is to go there and sign on to the Padron, they will put your address on the certificate.
The developer should put your mailboxes in and also register the Urbanisation with the Post Office in your area, does your President have any information on this?

In the meantime, I would advise you to hire a box in the local Postal Office. These issues usually take a bit of time.
Best regards,
Maria
