Making a Will in Spain

Hi,

just wondered if anyone could offer advice on making a will in Spain, does it have to be done through a solicitor or can one use a Notary?

when my hubby and I had our wills drawn up

in spain we gave all our details to a solicitor first

who drafted the will then he took us to a notary to

have the will formalised then we signed them.

Maria De Castro on this site done ours, then we had to take them to the notary, it was all done very quick.  No problems at all and would use her again for any legal issue that comes up.

Can't remember, but I know at the time she was cheaper than everyone else I got quotes from.  When I have time to go thru the paper work I'll let you know, or just ask Maria she is very very helpful.

it's something we keep putting off but really need to sort out sooner rather than later. I will contact Maria.

Thats what we done, kept putting it off, all we done was email Maria and told her what we wanted and she had it all ready when we met when we were at an evening with all EOS members and we just had to go to notary next day, as easy as that, we all thinkwe are going to be here forever, so get it done now before it's to late and the Spanish goverment take it all.

charges were less than 150  euros for 2

wills this included taking us to the notary

in his own car, plus the notary fees were

approx 110 euros on top.If you are based

I see you have done furnishings for Murcia, so asume you are on the Costa  Blanca.  They look great by the way.

We also used Glyn Moran, if you do a forum search it should come up with all his details.
