No, my neighbour can no longer watch sky with the old card as it asks for the new one every 10 seconds, i have had no problems yet and still using the old one.

Got my new card a few weeks ago and it has worked perfectly, so far.
I did have the problem of joanmalagas neighbour before receiving the card though, what a pain that was. If you take the card out you can watch freeview channels without the message appearing, other than that you have to "press back up" every 10 seconds or so.

What type of box do you have.Mine is a dark box and it will not accept the new card.

I know this sounds condescending but did you read all the instructions and check the viewing card number. No trouble with mine.
It may also be that even for the free channels the card might have to be paired to the box, not sure on that bit though.

djo, I have a Thompson skybox.
It is very important that the card number is the same as the box though. My neighbour brings his card out with him from the UK when he visits and although he subscribes to the full package in the UK he only received certain cahnnels here as his box is an old one he had lying around at home which he brought over. Therefore card and box are not married up to each other.
