Money back to UK
The Comments |
I have sold my property and want to transfer money back. If I use my banks service they quote a rediculus rate of 0.85 so take 15%. If I use one of the money exchange companies e.g. HiFX I have to do a trade and if the process fails (my money does not reach them in time) I could owe them a lot of money if the rate moves the wrong way although they offer a better rate (e.g. 0.89). If I get euros and take it to the PO in th UK I get a rate of 0.75!!. GOSH who´s doing the money laundering round here?
What is the "safe way" to get my money back. Or should I be thinking something else?
PS does anyone know how much the sending bank (in my case BBVA) charge for sending money?

suggest you look at new FX company that is online based. it's called rabbit fx (you can search for it on the web) the and it's fees are totally transparent. they will even show you how much money they are making on each trade.
im not affiliated with them--im just a customer
