Day of the Sardine is a great fun day!
The local fishermen - with help of the foreigners department of the local town hall and many local people - cook sardines over open fires on the main beach in La Cala and give them away free to all who want them. The last time l went they cooked 400 kilos! It is a celebration of the local craft of sardine fishing.
There is also a bar for the necessary lubrication.
Parking at La Cala is always a problem but park out on the feria ground and walk in - it will only take 5-10 minutes and much less stress.

I shall have a small sardine or two and a a few large beers to wash them down . I know all the avatars I use seem to be music or especially drink ones, I wonder why ha ha.
