Advice please-Divorce and my rights?
The Comments |
Hello,
I am a British citizen who is married to a Spanish man. We were married in Spain and have children. Unfortunately after many years of happiness the relationship has changed and it appears that we may be separating or even getting divorced. Can anyone give me a rough guide as to what my rights might be under Spanish law? The sort of things I'd like to know are my rights to remain in the family home, rights with regard to custody of the children and also for financial provisions. The children are still very young as we still live in the family home. I cannot really afford to engage a lawyer at this stage. Is there any kind of legal aid service in Spain? Thank you for any advices..
