Janice is right  , all new appliances are (legally) guaranteed for TWO years. If the supplier tries to argue, report them to Consumer Affairs.

OY - I will have you know that MY mini bar is in full working order - it wuold not DARE break down and in any case warm drinks are fine by me!!
Unfortunately my electrical equipment gets so much use I have to replace it every 6 months or so anyway!!
