Saga have no limits on how often or for how long you drive your car around the EU. You need a UK address, which you will need in anycase for the car registration. They told me they will not give you cover if you volunteer that you spend more than six months a year outside UK. This seems to be an example of how insurance companies have not kept up with the realities of the 21st century. Neither have the EU regulations which still seem to think everyone has a permanent home in one country and is only likely to need to travel to another (one) country either on a (1) short holiday or else (2) permanently. If you disclose to an insurance company or govt agency that you spend maybe 4 months a year total in UK, 3 in spain, 2 in France, etc and what's more you make up your life as you go along and don't produce a timetable at the beginning of each year......they start stuttering with paralysis.....and you will find you are illegal everywhere as no-one will insure you or register your car. They will all, however, be happy to tax you. What if you just stay in hotels or rent places as the mood takes you? You have to lie, so don't feel bad about it.
