 DOES ANY ONE KNOW WHY MONARCH ARE NOT  FLYING BIRMINGHAM TO ALMERIA  ON MONDAYS ANYMORE

Possibly lack of customers ?

no they will only be flying on thursdays the saturday flights are for 3 saturdays only in april

So if you know the answer why ask the question??

I don't know the answer to this one but it totally cocked up a golfing trip for me - flying out Thursday returning Monday. Now we have to drive upto Alicante and come back on the Tuesday.

They were nice about it but no money for extra hotel stay. I also had to find a car hire firm that would let me pick up at Almeria and drop off at Alicante.....Europcar will do that.

Definately weird goings on at Almeria airport, not just with Monarch.

Monarch used to fly four times a week all year round from Manchester to Almeria. Last year they dropped the winter schedule so now we can only use them in the summer, and only three times a week now so the only 'weekend' we can do is Thursday to Sunday. (Incidentally Monarch also dropped their Manchester to Murcia after just one year). So much for us being vantage gold passengers - not much point when we can't get there!!

Jet2 from Leeds to Almeria lasted two years - no longer on the schedules.

BMIbaby from East Midlands to Almeria lasted one summer. (We fell foul of them cancelling the route last year in September)

Come on Ryanair - get yourselves into Almeria from Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester.....

 My wife and I used to fly into Almeria from London airports but when the prices for flights and car hire started getting expense and airlines started pulling out, we switched to Murcia and Alicante. Even flying into Alicante and car hire was still cheaper than Almeria. I do not know whether Almeria airport is pricing itself out of the market or what but whatever they are doing is impacting my rental potential.
