Figures are km/hour

Cataluña and Pais Vasco have different scales.

Fine can be reduced ( up to 30%) if you pay inmediately after being fined.

As I've said on forum in Speeding fine on A-7 towards Alicante http://www.eyeonspain.com/forums/posts-long-8252.aspx this may well be the ruling, Maria, but certainly, in our area (Guardamar/Torrevieja in the Valencian province) people are being fined for doing much less than your tables say.

Our friends certainly were fined 100€ (discounted to around 70€ as they paid on the spot) for driving at 75 in a 70km/hr area. According to the table they shouldn't have been fined unless they were doing over 81 - 100 for 100€.

It seems Spain started to introduce the UK's system. I know plenty of people moved to spain for the Big brother style atmosphere in UK. Perhaps, they need to find another country to go!

I recently received a speeding fine through the post for the hire car I rented in Malaga. The fine is for 100Euros. What are the consiquences if I do not pay the fine?
Also, will I receive any points on my uk licence?

Did they send the notice to your UK address?
Would you mind sending an email to me to my costaluzlawyers.es email address?

Best regards,

Same thing happened to me - what are the consequences of not paying?

Hi we have recieved a speeding fine through the post today, 2 months after we have arrived home. What are the consquences if we do not pay. It is all in Spanish & we cannot understand what it is saying, how do we know if it is legitimate?
