Teo, the simple, cotidian spanish boy!

A great treasure to bring to your kids if they want to get acquainted with a typical spanish kid.

Teo is great, my girls have brought home a couple of those books from school in the past. Would you agree that they are perfect for four to six year age group?

They are starting to move onto the next level of reading now and this character seems to be really popular internationally but especially here in Spain:

I have also been collecting Los Cinco that comes out in the papelerias fornightly.

I also wanted to ask you how popular are the nintendo ds games consules amongst spanish children and from what age do Spanish children start to play with them? I know in my girls class (age 6) there are a couple of girls that have them but in the UK as young as 4 they play with them.So what do you think is the average age to start playing with them in Spain? Is it younger, older or the same as the UK?

I am not a pedagogist or psychologist but I would say that the later the better.

I have a niece who is 7 and has it and have other niece who is also 7 and is fully happy without it.

I have got a book on Evolutive Psychology at home, you can borrow it if you want.. it is interesting.

Just in case you want to look for the English version, the author is Grace J. Craig . The spanish version is published by Pearson Educacion.

I will google that book. I agree with you the later the better but do I give into parent pressure? I would be much happier with them reading and using their imaginations then playing those games.

Also, it will be to children´s greater senses of non-dependency,nature-orientation and reality.

Very difficuly and challenging tasks for us as mothers Susan.

Love,

Maria
