IMPORTANT CHANGES TO TAX RATES APPLIED TO PROPERTY PURCHASES IN MURCIA FROM JULY 8TH

On the 8th July modifications relating to taxation took effect , as dictated in amendments 6/2012 of 8th July within the Region of Murcia.
These amendments will affect the values of taxes paid on property purchases, as well as inheritance taxes, and will make purchasing property more expensive. These are very much “stealth taxes” as they will have little effect on the man in the street on an everyday basis, but will make quite substantial differences to those purchasing, or inheriting property.
Increased taxes on second hand property sales:
Increased regional tax on new property purchases.
Increased taxes on notarial acts
Inheritance tax.
