Today, I would like to tell you a news, which talks about a very important thing for Spain: Yesterday, a contract of selling spanish trains to Holland was signed.
The news says that the Spanish company Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles (CAF) will provide 118 trains, for an amount of 500 million Euros, to the Dutch railway operator, which is the largest order made by the company, in Europe, and one of the largest, in history of the company.
With the contract signed on Monday, the Spanish railway company raised its backlog and strengthens its position, in the European market.
The trade agreement also includes a possibility of increasing the number of trains supplied, as reported by the company to the Comision Nacional del Mercado de Valores (CNMV) National Commissión of the Money Market.
The Dutch operator, Nederlandse Spoorwegen, will destined the trains from CAF, to exploit the service called Sprinter. It is estimated that, the first units of this order, will begin to circulate, in 2018.
With this purchase, the Dutch operator seeks to address the exploitation of new routes and increased passenger demand.
Well. I think this news shows, once again, that Spain is able to export satisfactorily.
Until my next post, kind regards,
Luis.
