Monica Molina Tejedor was born in Madrid in January, 24, 1968.She is the seventh, from Antonio Molina´s 8 children.(Antonio Molina was born in Malaga, in March, 9, 1928, and died in Madrid, in March, 18, 1992.He was an spanish actor and singer of copla --couplet-- and Flamenco.With a high voice and a particular style, he got a great popularity, with a lot of theatrical shows and several films, where his musical skill was his best lure.).
Monica Molina is an spanish melodic singer and also is a good actress --in fact, she started like an actress--.Her musical job is shared with her younger brother, Noel Molina,; he is the writer of the most of her songs.
As I said before, she started like an actress, following the road of her sisters (Angela and Paula.Angela has a long experience, in the movies) and --since a few years ago, her niece, Olivia Molina, is also an actress-- her brother Miguel.Monica worked, like an actress for more than 10 years.She played some little parts in two films: "La mitad del cielo" and "El viaje a ninguna parte", by Manuel Gutierrez Aragon and Fernando Fernan Gómez, in 1986.After that, she works in "Belmonte" and "Así en el cielo como en la tierra", by Julio Medem.In 1998, star in, with her sister Angela, a television comedy, "Hermanas" = "Sisters", after what Monica left this job, in order to start her musical race.
In 1999, she published her first album: "Tu despedida" and, with it, she got one Gold Disc.
In 2001, she launched "Vuela", which was a successful Platinum Disc.It was a candidate to the Latin Grammy, as a best record job of feminine interpretation and to the Spanish Music Awards, as a Sensational New Artist.
Her third album is "De cal y arena" and the fourth one: "A vida" (2006).
Since November 2008, she play to a famous singer in "Amar en tiempos revueltos" = "To love in rummaged times (periods)" (A serie for TVE = National Spanish Tv).
In 2007 publishe "Autorretrato".
Monica has sung the song "Nana para Candela", dedicated to her only daughter, from her relationship with the actor José Coronado.
