La Oreja de Van Gogh was formed by 4 boys and 1 girl (Amaia Montero), from the University of San Sebastián, in 1994.Soon, they started to be known and famous.
Their recordings is: "Dile al sol" (1998), "El viaje de Copperpot" (2000), "Lo que te conté mientras te hacias la dormida" (2003), "Guapa" (2008).
In the summer of 2007, they were preparing the fifth album, "A las cinco en el Astoria"; but Amaia Montero decided to leave the group.It was a shock for the rest of the group; but they decided continue with the album, united as some friends, like in the begining.But they need a new voice and they started to search it.After knowing many people, at least, they found to Leire and they stoped the searching.Now, the group is formed by: Leire, Pablo, Álvaro, Haritz y Xabi.
