Calvià may sue The Sun over report on police violence against drunken Brits in Magaluf
Wednesday, July 12, 2017 @ 11:19 AM

RIGHT-WING red-top The Sunhas annoyed Spain once again – this time by claiming police and bouncers in Magaluf are being unfairly harsh on uncivilised British tourists who drink too much, get into fights, strip off, vomit, urinate and have sex in the streets.

“Magaluf used to be known just as a casual sex hotspot, but now it has become a war zone as boozy Brits battle with cops and bouncers,” claims the sub-heading.

Its description of revellers being punched by police and nightclub doormen has incensed the local council in Calvià – the inland town of which Magaluf is a satellite beach hub – to the extent that it may sue the tabloid for defamation.

Just because they behave like this in the UK they think they can do the same were ever go because they have no respect for any one so why should the Spain tolerate it, if they cant hold there beer and behave in a civilized manner they should be lock up for the duration of there holiday and made to pay for there food while they are lock up and should only be let out in time to get there flight back and have there passport stamp as an undesirable and not allowed to return to Spain for leased 10 years

Well said midasgold and nicechap, when in Rome etc.
The thing that upsets me the most is that the British police pick up all the drunks and take them to hospital, duh!! As if they aren't overloaded enough!
I served some time in the RN and I admit I did some stupid things ashore in foreign countries through over indulging in alcohol, I was either left where I had collapsed or dragged of to a cell for the night.
The consequences of this when getting back on board the next day was the stoppage of leave, a heavy fine and punishment.
Lessons were soon learnt.
It is to be hoped that lessons will be learnt in Magaluf after the "awful" treatment the drunken Brits have received
