Sánchez to trigger no-deal Brexit law this Friday
Thursday, February 28, 2019 @ 12:47 PM

PRESIDENT Pedro Sánchez will trigger a new raft of legal measures on Friday destined to safeguard Spain, its traders and British residents in the event of a no-deal Brexit.

With just four weeks and two days to go until the UK is set to leave the European Union, with or without a deal in place, the Spanish leader has announced a hefty law text with contingency plans is set to go live at the touch of a button.

In a Parliamentary speech in which he slammed the alt-right ahead of April’s general elections and the apparent rise of independent party Vox, Sánchez pointed out that it was far-right politics that had led to Brexit.

He said the referendum result was ‘hugely regrettable’ and was largely thanks to the campaign by alt-right independents UKIP.

“What has happened in the UK shows that the far right does not even need to get into power to change the political agenda of mainstream parties such as the British Conservatives, or to extrapolate their policies to other EU countries,” Sánchez lamented.

“All that’s needed is for them to inject their virus into other political formations, force their way into democracy like a Trojan, to shatter, in months, consensus that has taken decades to achieve.”

If the European Union agrees to extend the deadline for Brexit beyond March 29, Spain will not stand in its way, says Sánchez, but that he wants to know what Britain would intend to do with the extra time.

I have friends who say, if Brexit still goes ahead they will leave Britain and move to Spain! I wonder if it will be way more awkward to do then!

I want to stay in Spain as my European friends in the UK they also want to stay in the UK - both governments need to take this into consideration and not just think of what is best for them and their politics. I,ve said it before just who the hell gave Junker (and Merkel) the right to decide what happens to Europe? They weren,t elected by any ordinary peoples of Europe and yet they rule with a fist of iron. I understand albeit from the newspapers that Spain has done very well without a government!!!! Let,s face it the rulers of Europe have not been too kind to Spain either!!! I have a simplistic view and just want to live a simple life without all this stress.

Why were we as ex-pats, never allowed to vote on the first referendum?
Perhaps the final outcome would been different (i.e the majority vote would been to stay or so close that there was no majority, so stalemate).

Now that was easy, wasn’t it. Can’t Teresa May just do the same or do we all have to suffer because of May, the MPs and the remain voters cowardice and treachery.
I live in Spain and have no worries. But I don’t think Britain stands much of a chance unless a Thatcher type leader comes along to silence in the great ladies words, these ‘Moaning Minnie’s’.
