Fantastic news and hopefully it will go on gaining coverage. Who is suffering extreme hardship. I hope it's not Mr Developer who wants to get rid of some bank loans. Those who are really suffering, those trapped are the ones who need help. This just means that the banks will hound them but won't send the police around to actually make them homeless. They'll still have to pay...one day and forever more.

Spanish banks have been beyond corrupt. Why were bankers allowed to earn commission selling mortgages, they handed them out to everyone as though they were sweets.

How many have been conned into a prison sentence mortgage? Too many.

I hope that this gets the world talking and those who really need to hand their keys back get a chance to do it. They'll walk away with nothing, will have lost all their savings and money put into the property but they'll be free from the hell they live day to day just trying to pay the banks. The same banks who hound those who don't pay. Yes, they call at 3am, they write letters, they threaten.... Spanish banks are corrupt and the world should be told about what went on in the boom years!
