Royal household denies asking the Infanta Cristina to divorce Urdangarín

SPAIN'S Royal household has denied that they or King Juan Carlos have tried to convince the Infanta Cristina (pictured) to divorce her husband or give up her title. The Duchess of Palma – who is an 'Infanta' rather than a 'Princess' since, although she is the King's daughter, she is not an heir to the throne – is married to Iñaki Urdangarín, one of the two main suspects in the Nóos Institute corruption and money-laundering scandal. Urdangarín is no longer publicly associated with the Royals, having been wiped from their website and banned from representing them in public duties.
