I am posting here to try to establish whether I have any support for my argument. Private posts "complaining" to the EOS administration have remained private and I suspect are not widely read by readers.
My "complaint" revolves around the criteria for selecting the ten "best" articles each week.
[Sound Cloud]
It surely cannot be right that places 1, 4, 5 and 8 in this latest digest, published today, are allocated to blatant advertisements. In the previous week there were also four adverts. The week before that there were five!
My argument
Aren't articles like those thought-provoking ones by Lenox Napier, or interesting travel pieces by Ian and Spain, Karethe Linaee, or mac75 of more interest to your readers?
Aren't posts which get lots of "clicks" or which generate many comments more worthy of a top ten place?
Lenox Napier [La Voz de Almeria]
I would have thought that articles about the current horrendous weather problems and Spanish and European / world politics would be of more interest than, say, an ad for a townhouse in Murcia.
Looking at EOS' own figures - click on BLOGS, then LATEST BLOG POSTS and scroll down and you will find this data:
There is some correlation, but not always.
The list for MOST POPULAR BLOGS includes postings by Lenox Napier, Pablo de Ronda and Paul Whitelock, as well as two advertisements.
The MOST POPULAR POSTS all contained helpful information.
The MOST COMMENTED POSTS were by Karethe Linaee, Lenox Napier and Paul Whitelock.

Karethe Linaee [Ed. La Serrania] Paul Whitelock [Secret Serrania] The Curmudgeon [The Muppets]
Final word
Wouldn't a post about the death or re-birth of socialism been of interest?
Or about the efforts of the Coalition of the Willing in Europe?
I hope this article provokes a reaction from Eye on Spain readers. Maybe it will top the list of most commented posts next week?
I await with bated breath.
