I'm using HIFX and they have been great, very helpful in explaining how it all works and no transfer charges.
They set up the account, transfers etc on the telephone and by e mail. no problems at all.

If you are transferring money using brokers (ie Currencies Direct) for your final payment please be aware that even when using a TT they will hold onto your money in their client account for a couple of days before tranferring it on. I did a TT on Thursday and when I phoned Currencies Direct yesterday to confirm that the money had been received and transferred on was told that this would not happen until Monday or Tuesday next week. We are not completing until 10 July so there is still plenty of time for it to clear in our Spanish solicitors client account so that they can raise a draft against it. This could cause problems for anyone holding on until the last minute to see if the euro rate goes up before transferring the final payment.
Apart from this Currencies Direct are very good, easy to use and the traders will advise you on the euro rate. I was told that if I could hold on for another month the rate is likely to go up but at the moment it is on its way down and was advised to buy sooner rather than later.

I've used Moneycorp and had no problems. The service and the rates are pretty much of a muchness between Money Corp, HIFX and Currencies Direct. You need to register to use any of them.
For those buying in the future you can book your currency rate ahead. You have to pay 10% straight away but the balance isn't payable until you take the funds. It's worth chatting to the different dealing desks to see which way they think the Euro will go.
Completed on Jardin 11 yesterday. Anybody else on there?
