Hi All
The 2nd All Ireland Pool Championships took place in the Irish Bar in Bigastro on 19/6/08 at around 2pm all who attended can be seen the attached photo,s . Unfortunately the previous Winner had to give up the Cup to the New Champion however it took some persuading as Bob did not want to give it up easily and it brought tears in his eyes giving it to Kev who beat Martin in final . The wooden spoon was graciously accepted by Jim . We all had a good afternoon,s craic . But I would like to point out whilst it is called the All Ireland Pool Championships if you have a second grandmother twice removed or illegimate you can enter the competition The winner gets to keep the Cup for 1 month after that it can be challenged by anyone but you need a mininum of 4 or more players for the competition to be legal . The cup must remain in Hurchillo and can be handed to a proxy to defend in your abscence. I would like to point out that at this time the 2 winners Bob & Kev both have grandmothers twice removed & we need and Irishman to uphold OUR dignity so come on Boys lets bring it back to Ireland.
We also had the 1st Hurchillo Patanga Match at the park on Sunday and guess what we have to brake Kev,s fingers he won it also
look forward to being over again soon and challenging for the Cup have a drink on us

OK Mervyn, will have to try and get this one... Will be over on July 23rd til August 10th, so if a tournament is on or if someone is organising one please let me know, sounds like and looks like a good bit of craic.
Cheers.
Kev
Don't suppose there would be a chance we'd get a pool table in one of our own local watering holes?????????

Hi All
I have eventually got around to putting the updated All Ireland Open Invitational Pool Championship Competition Photo,s on the EOS website . It is there for all to view and I would personally like to thank all who took part as it was a very enjoyable Boys afternoon away & new friendships formed. But best of all the All Ireland CUP came home to Ireland it was won by our very own IRISH man Mr Kevin Keegan as I had to let him win in the Final as Jess Threatened to kill me . Kevin was a worthy winner and I look forward to the next challenge which hopefully will be around 20/9/08 unless he chickens out so if any of our neighbours are there at this time you are very welcome to join us.
Hope you like the Photo,s I look forward to the edited version from Kevin in the near future
See you all soon we are back over again on the 14/9/08 to the 22/9/08

Hi all
It is with regret that I must inform you of my recent loss yes the Cup has gone to another worthy winner Kev Henry who by the way was born in Sligo . So it gives me great Honour to let him mind it for a a short time only as I will be back in November to reclaim it SO LOOKOUT I,LL BE BACK . But whilst I lost the Cup my brother won the wooden spoon so at least I have something in my trophy cupboard. Again we had a tremendous turn out for the afternoons CRAIC with 12 participants. a big thank you to all so keep coming. There were 3 special guests at the pool competition all of which suffered from pyeria and needed a good haircut photo,s on website . Good fun was had by all so they tell me
We also had a petanga Competition on Sunday of which we had 15 entrants with winner being Mick on phase 2 Ireland were stuffed again as they played the rest of the world similar to OUR Rugby Team or is that Ulster.
Photo,s on website

Hi all...
Firstly Mervyn
Disregard the e.mail I sent.....I thought you were dragging your heels as I overdid the celebrations a bit...ha ha
Without going into too much detail....I was superb. Noone could live with me...I was pool personified.
Is that a bit much or should I just say that I was lucky and had a great day...the more the merrier. Thanks again for sorting that out....do I have to buy a new wooden spoon from Harrods (Ikea)..or is the original returning from Ireland
Fencing now up at the pool...which is now very clean....
Regards to all

Hi All
Yes the Cup is back where it belongs up North & the Wooden Spoon back where it came from in England with Ricky Re the Sad day in Quesada & The Letter from Mary McAlesse I would like to say we had arranged for 8 players on the day It was not my fault 2 did not turn up So Mary mind your own Bloody Business. If No competitors from the South can be there it is also not my fault My Game my Rules so tough . There is no doubt Mr Keegan is keen to find out when I am next over so I will put him out of his misery I am back on the 30/1/09 to 7/2/09 so Kev bring it on or will you leave it to Bob HA HA. I must point out not to RUB it in this is now the secong occassion I have WON the Cup so upon my return I will have my name engraved as per the 2008 Rules as Governed By Mrs McAleese. On a brighter note we had 1 of the Scottish contigent there but he was useless we even give him a by back into the game & he was beaten again Jim keep practising. Another good day was had by all & thanks to Kev H for the photos . I would also like to point out Phase 3 beat Phase 1 in the snooker match afterwards 2-1 unfortunately still waiting for our Victory Drink maybe next year
Good Luck to All Have a Great Christmas & a Better New Year
See you next Year

Now now Mick we all know what happens when Cork men lose their cool
Look what happened to the last man with a blue jersey who got a Cork man going.
Look forward to the pool challenge be it swimming or the ball type, Munster will be victorious

Hi All
Sorry it took so long to update you on our last Pool Competition unfortunately only able to see again still wiping away the tears I feel like Roddick so many Finals but never the winner, However in my favour I have won it twice . But I will be back for a rematch in September. We had a new shark playing this time Kay,s Bob he failed to tell us he was an ex champion so if you play him break a few knuckles or better still feed him brandy it should do the job however. he was a worthy champion winning all his games. Well done bob on a brighter note our previous champion had a touch of Alzimers forget about the competition & went to the beach it alright wee Kev I will write you a note the next time. We also missed our wooden spoon champion Ricky but he can make up for it with a curry. So nwe now have a New Champion Bob & believe or not a New wooden spoon who is also caled Bob but he,s from Cork. So the gauntlet is down to you all heading to Hurchillo this summer the Cup has stayed in Scotland long enough & I look forward to the Cup returning to its rightful place in Ireland so Kev Keegan & Massy I am putting my faith in you to bring it back I will post a few piccies on EOS
Hope you all have a really good summer & look forward to seing you in September
