Hi does anyone live in the costa de le luz

Just wondered if anyone has encountered problems with either the door locks or air-conditioning systems.

My brother is out there at the moment using our apartment and having a great time.

This morning the locking system for the front door of the apartment failed and he couldn't get back into the apartment. Fortunately someone was already inside the apartment and was able to let him back in. On contacting the Ballester sales office for help he was told to "contact a locksmith". Fortunately Marco the maintainence man came to his aid and with the help of one of the builders managed to put the whole locking system back together following its collapse.   

Marco also explained that some of the apartments had problems with the airconditioning systems leaking. Aircon systems need to be operated on a regular basis apparently to make sure the seals don't perish and this has become a regular problem.

Does anyone know exactly how long the building guarantee lasts for and what it covers. When something goes wrong, who should we contact?. The property agent who we originally bought from seems to have gone out of business along with about 40,000 other Spanish estate agents.

Any input would be appreciated!

Hi there,
Firstly there is a Ballester after care service but I cant find the email about it .I think it was Maria Assin in the Ballester office who gave me the details so you could ask her.
We had a major leak with the aircon system right at the beginning of our ownership - it caused a big flood in the utility room - but ok since.
Also,beware of what we did with our front door.We shut it with the keys on the inside and couldnt get back in - we too had to get Marcus to help out! pm me if you want more details !!!
Also has anyone else who has a store room noticed how damp it is - we are in G block which was flooded last year and the stuff in our store is defo damp.
