Hi
I am Gerard, Vice President at La Entrada.
Today I went to the Council offices with a Spanish speaking friend and obtained copies of the latest plans for all the development. Currently, La Entrada, Panorama Park, La Recoleta and El Parque plus all the vacant land to the sea front. As I am in Spain at the moment until end of July I cannot post copies of the plans or the information I have copied.
In essence the situation is that the letter people received only means a redistribution of space between the other proposed new buildings on the current vacant land. All the proposed new apartments show 10 storeys but then so do the the notes for La Entrada where 5 is the max.
The biggest single change to all this is where the current security office is. The proposed building has been increased from15,742 cubic metres to 91,681 cubic metres. Othere have been reduced. The total building space/size was and still is overall 317,092 cubic metres. Where the Blue container is for the golf people there is a proposal for a community centre or church. Then next going towards the sea is the forementioned building.
Rumours have been rife about another golf course going in either in the space noted above or opposite La Entrada on the land towards the Sales Office. The Council informed me that there are no plans for another golf course registered having checked their computer records for this site while I was there. Therefore the vacant land in front of La Entrada to about half way down near to the Sales Office is still designated public park as is the first section in front of the golf course for about 50 metres.
As the the sea front where we were promised a new beach. this is currently under modification, though it is not possible to say at this moment if it is going to have a sea break (update 23/07/08 guys working on new sea front say there will be no sea wall break so we will still suffer the weed on the beach). A large amount of big rocks are laying there but these my just be water breaks for the new beach access. Where we were told it was down to Torrevieja Council they say it is down to the Government Costa department. At present I do not have time to visit this office but may do so in September.
Things change here but these are the facts as given today.
