We have been in touch with Lourdes from Quara who we have a good relationship, she has replied to the queries regarding the pool but due to the legal issues we cannot copy and paste the reply so have re typed the pertinent points made, i have re queried with Lourdes the validity of what the maintenance team have told her as the expert who looked at the condition of the pool believed it was purley due to the lack of mainenance frequency rather than anything else - i will let you know the response, below however is the re-typed body of text from Quara.
We have been informed by Quara that the problems in the pool are due to a broken (pump) motor. A particular part is needed to fix it, and because of the holiday season, the company that maintains the pool on behalf of Quara cannot obtain it. They will try to do a temporary repair so that the chemicals in the pool can start to work, but it is best not to use it in the meantime. They hope that they will be able to fit a new motor next week, but that isn't definite. The motor is still under warranty, but if anyone tampers with it in an attempt to get it working, the warranty will become invalid, and we won't get a new one - so please, even if it looks like it only needs a simple repair, don't attempt it. All our messages and emails regarding the state of the pool have been passed on to the maintenance company. Quara are (obviously) aware that we are all unhappy with the situation, but at the moment there is nothing else they can do.
