Landlord Wants Us Out 6 Weeks Into 6 month Contract

We have an appartment on los collados bajo. We are coming over next week I hope the weather is warmer than here. Are you also living on Los Collados Bajo? It is lovely to hear the playground is finished. hopefully thigs are looking better than when we last came. It is not good to hear about the burglaries we have had extra locks fitted to our windows. I thought that the shutteres would have been enough security. how did they do this in broad daylight?

the weather was lovely for the past 2 maybe 3 weeks, started to feel like summer was approaching, but on Sunday it poored down and rained again on Monday, hopefully its going to turn nice again now.

I forgot to mention there is also a mini round about that has been put in also and the roads are done - which is good, so hopefully the end is in site.  The shopping centre is open, in case you didnt know and we have a C&A's which is handy.   Also the shopping centre in Lorca is now open and is quite nice.  

There is a big thing in Lorca, for Easter - they do it every year. its called la carrera. Apparently you need tickets for seats, its on good friday. However I have been told that if you go the friday before its like a practice run and its free, so we are hoping to go to that. They have all horses and chariots etc, its meant to be fantasic.  We are thinking about going on the train from Aguilas.  Heres a link http://www.spain.info/TourSpain/Eventos/Fiestas/Q/NW/0/Semana%20Santa4?language=EN   I can let you know more details when I have them, your more welcome to come along with us lot if your here on then.

I know, in my case we were lucky, it could have turned out nasty - I live on Dunas de Cope, in one of the Duplex's.  I was in all morning, left to get my little girl from school, I was only gone about 30minutes at the most. I was just coming back into Los Collados when my husband rung me (he was at work in Vera) to say a niegbour has seen someone jump over our back wall (we live on the end) I rushed home, told my little girl to stay in the car and under no circumstances to get out. I run in doors shouting and screaming when I the heard 2 friends from around the back shout theve got him. Thank god for them and my neighbour.   He never actually got in, damaged the back door. He had burgaled his "friend" just before he tried to do me.  So cut along story short we had to go to court and his now done a runner.   My husband has now put in rejas, so I now feel alot safe. 

My husband Lee's also a qualified locksmith, and the shutters are very easy to get in.  Ive done it with a hair brush before when ive locked myself out. If you would like him to look at your apartment and give you free advice on security, and to see if he thinks what youve got is ok, just let us know.

Thanks for all the info.  The resort sounds like it is looking a lot tidier and more finished off at last!

La Carrera in Lorca sounds great. Is it on all week or just the two fridays? We may consider going this Friday, it depends how the kids are as we will arrive early hours of the morning!! It would be nice to meet up with you though if you are free. I have your tel no from your website would it be ok to give you a call when we are there?

Oh lovely, thats good timing!! Of course you can call me, it would be nice to meet up. How old are your children? I have a 5 year old little girl, who's sometimes going on 20 and other times still acts 2, lol. 

Theres aload of us going on Friday, all ages It don't start until the evening,  but we need to be there for about 5.30pm to get the seats (we may have to wait a couple of hours until it starts but i guess as long as we hold the seats its fine, as its free on this day)  Your more than welcome to follow us, we will park in the old Eroski at Lorca.  We will take some sandwiches and stuff, it should be really good evening.   I don't know when else its on, nor how you could obtain tickets, if you cant make it I will try and find out for you.

So what time will you get here Friday morning? If you need any milk or bread or anything for when you arrive,  Ive got to go to the Mercadona tomorrow anyway?

We arrive at about 2am Friday, but have packed bread bacon etc dried milk so should be ok thanks.Our kids are 8yrs (boy) and 9yrs ( girl with attitude of 16 yr old but behaviour of 2yr old!!) would be lovely to meet with you and will give you a call fri morning if thats ok. Do you wan't anything bringing from uk  that you miss food wise ( i presume with your names that you are from uk)...As long asit doesn't weigh more than 1kg ..he, he, at our limit  with cases as usual!!

lol, oh dear 2am is early!   Yer we are English, im from Essex but dont' worry  I don't wear white stalletos or dance around my handbag, lol .  No we are fine thanks very much though,  Iceland are here now, well near San Javier airport but are apparently coming this way, so rumours say,  so we will have to wait and see.

Hi All,

Just to let you know, we went to the la carrera last night in Lorca and it was really good - horses, chariots, romans, trumphets and  the drums, the lot. Although it was a free practice run last night , next friday good friday is the real thing, which is really the same  And I would definately reccommend it - fantastic!  It was meant to start at 8 but like always it was almost 9, I dont know where you can get tickets from for next week but if anyones interested i will try and find out for you.  I do have friends going next week but they are going to turn up later (yesturday we had to get there for about 5.30 to get a seat but it was worth the wait) and just stand and watch it, they did say if you get there early you will be able to buy a seat there, but I don't know for definant as yet.  I will post some photos on here for you.

Unfortunately we are back in grey cold blighty now. Thanks again for reccommending that we go see La Carrera you were right it was amazing. and well worth the wait  Sorry we did not get chance to meet up again but we were catching up on all the jobs around the appartment, or taking the kids to the beach! Hope you enjoyed the jet ski competition, we saw them all in Aguilas town,

We have justed returned from a mixed weather week and attended AGM held last Sat - just to let you know legal proceedings are going to be commenced against owners and the builders who have not paid there community charges Lots more discussed but minutes will be produced shortly

We were there the week before you and it was mixed weather then, but mainly warm. Managed to get to the beach with the kids though. The resort is looking a bit tidier at last. Lots of zebra crossings ?? We were finishing off last jobs in the appartment, at last it is finished we may actually be able to go and relax next time we visit.!

We have an appartment on collado bajo. We have a meeting next week ,but  it is such short notice that we will have to vote by proxy similar circumstances. Who are your administrators?

Gesisur are administrators (Jose Carrillo) Our meeting lasted 2 hours in Spanish and despite our Spanish lessons very difficult to follow! - will wait for the minutes to see what we agreed to!!

I completed on apartment last Easter so aam at point of enjoyment for selves and friends but not sure that you will ever stop buying bits n pieces and replacement items?

You may already be aware but communal park area is to be managed by town hall not builders Also dont' hold your breath for anything to happen re pitch n putt it seems?

I wonder why the park area has to be taken care of by the town hall? Our administrators have resigned and we are having the meeting to vote for new administrators .I belive as it is an extra meeting not the AGM which was in Aug last year. I am supprised that  Collado Golf and Bajo have different administrators I thought they would be all the same.

I was under the impression the pitch and put would be finished this year and would be of artificial grass. Do you not think it will happen? If not it will be a shame our children were looking forward to playing on it. Are you still on builders supply of electric and water?

Hi All,

Just to let you all know that I went to the post office today, basically to complain about me not having any post for the last 6-8 weeks (including some important bits I have been waiting to recieve) The post office said basically the postman deliveries everything properly through the post boxes (even though I have seen many letters chucked on the floor before now, I have even taken photos of this. And Ive found my bank statements on the floor before now!)  Anyway, the post office are saying everything is getting delivered properly and they are having problems with many places, where the post is being stolen.  So the out come was a complete waste of time.  Now, obvoiusly I know everyone here only has there place here as a holiday home, but still none wants  personal bills or statements going missing. 

Also, If anyones here on the 1st -3rd of May. The La Aroma is on.  Its nothing fancy, but its still a nice day out. On the Saturday 2nd May I believe they have the Pealla Competition,  and thats the day where the pealla is free. (we went on the sunday last year, it was lovely pealla and still fairly cheap. Basically, the Spanish all go, take a table and chairs and have a day out on like a field. There are horses, carts etc and Spanish dancing too and competitions. Its only 15 minutes away max. So If anyones interested let me know.

Also, If anyone knows of anyone who needs or who have just completed, there is a very good offer on in Eroski at the moment. Where you can get a Fridge freezer, Microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, hoover and a small TV for only 799Euros. I cant remember the make but can find out if anyones interested.
