Has anyone successfully used the Credit Card Charge Back Scheme? After my bank told me that the claim has to be made within 120 days of the proposed receipt of goods, I rang Consumer Direct for their advice. Because the 3000 paid by credit card was for a deposit on a house in Spain, they could not clarify if it comes under the remit of Section 75. They told me to contact a similar consumer group - UK European Consumer Center, who were equally non-plussed! The only advice I got from them was to contact the FSA Ombudsman if I was unhappy with my bank!! Surely, someone, somewhere, must know if we can definitely claim our 3000 back from the credit card companies regardless of the date of receipt of 'goods'. The builder has failed to deliver for God's sake!!!!
