Hi All,
After reading all the latest posts regarding Peinsas' situation to liquidation, we contacted our solicitor in Mojacar by email. She contacted Yolanda and this is part of her reply-
"Peinsa itself has not gone into receivership, it´s the building company that was contracted by Peinsa to carry out the building jobs who´s standing in this situation. Peinsa is dealing with another company to carry on with the jobs which are mainly carpentry and painting jobs which are outstanding to finally finish the properties. This new company will be working again at the site in two weeks time.
This will make you complete, the latest, on March 2009 which would only be 2-3 months after the official completion.
If you decide to cancel the contract at this moment, it´s almost impossible that you will get your money back (you can check with a Spanish lawyer if you want) as this situation is not a fact with which Peinsa countered with and the delay finishing the property is due to the building company that Peinsa had contracted. "
This is part good news as Peinsa have not gone bust and we will have our property by march.....ish.but it conflicts with stories we are hearing as regards to refunds, as we know other people have received refunds. anyone enlighten us?
Happy Days! Ray & Ann
