WHY DO SOME PEOPLE ON HERE US DIFERENT NAMES WHEN DOING A THREAD?

Very common practice on forums I am afraid and difficult for the moderator to police

What will happen is that they will ask a question with one name an then answer it promoting their business in another name

If somebody wants to have a go then they may use another name and there are a number of people on this thread doing this

Sometimes the moderator can track this ny looking at the source IP address and location which I do on thesnaggingforum

Fortunately this is not something that I have had to do

I personally don't have a problem with those people who prefer to remain anonymous its there choice. Its a bit like the CB radio handles of the sixies and seventies and adds a bit of interest.

If you are anonmous it really depends what you are saying but the biggest problem is people that have multiple names

As you say Roy Howitt aka inspectahomespain people use different names just to advertise there business on eos like yourself with over 400 post. When will you be moving onto S/G????? yes we know what your going to say, you give FREE advise, but deep down your just after getting work from people on S/G thats why your on here so much and thats the truth.
How many other site to your advertise on with free advise?
It would be great if this site was ONLY for people who have properties on S/G

For your information Tony I have actually sent more than 60 information packs. copies of sample reports and Q&A guides for people buying on SG and I have nit snagged anything like that number of properties

I do not operate on an AKA basis as a legal company all of my information is in the public domain, and I NEVER use any other names, don´t have to, bu the way I even have my own forum which I do not promote via this site

I also have a website with more than 3000 unique visitors a week

I have had many thank you notes from buyers and have hundreds of customer references. 

If you want a site only for SG people then it is very easy to create a community site, many urbansations do, and the all of the handymen and keyholders etc can advertise but, by using your view most of the valuable information provided by lawyers, agents and industry professionals would be lost

Do I get work from this forum yes, do I provide a good valuable service yes and do I pay to advertise in the services directory, yes but I also provide lots of very valuable content to this and numerous sites and I did n start he thread to whic I was responding

Go out and find some work by creating something rather than perhaps moaning about somebody with a successfull business, happy to provide you with any free adviCe

I was only speaking to someone from S/G the other day who approached you for snagging there property on S/G, they didn't except because they said it was exspensive.

Nothing to get upset about Tony as like you we have plenty of work at the RIGHT price and you get want you pay for so you will never win every deal out there and some people always want a lower price

If you compare the cost of travelling out to Spain, flights, hotels cars etc the service is great value for money

Good ti on spelling and I will take that as good advice, sometimes I am so busy I type a little too fast for my own good

Perhaps I should set up a Spanish arm for The Citizens Advice Bureau

as usual every thread has the potential to become contentious.  But don't let it get to you that some people want to become a legend in there own lunchtime.
The econimic climate makes it tough for everybody.  Live and let live has become my motto and I for one don't believe I know everything.  But if I can genuinely help fellow travellers then I will.

I read yesterday of a fellow Brit starving to death here in Spain because he had no money to pay his mortgage and feed himself.  It kinda puts everything into perspective.  But I bet someone will even use this thread for their own ends.

I absolutely agree with you as in my case form answering a query on the use of names on forums I get it in the neck again

If Tony hadn´t responded in the way that he did no other comments would have been needed to be made

I also think that it is unfair to attack the spelling of anybody as, even though I am professionally qualified,  personally I am dyslexic, as is my son, so it can be difficult to get the correct words and this is often not a fair measure of intelligence ass there are some very successfull dyslexics out there
