Perhaps some of you have already experienced this situation - but for those who havent -

I went to Mijas Golf SA today ( Pueblo Mijitas - at the top of Mijas Golf) - to sort out a problem - whereby an owner had the water to their apartment disconnected .

It seems that a bill had been returned by the owner's bank - due to a misunderstanding and apparently the policy of Mijas Golf SA is - if payment of any bill is refused - they don't present any future bills for payment.

They advised that the do send notification to this effect - but in this particular case - no post whatsoever from the water company had been put in the owners postbox at Hacienda.

Effectively - this means that if for some reason you are not receiving post sent to you at the complex, and do not have access to check your direct debits with your Spanish bank on line - you could be acrueing a debt which you are totally unaware of.

The end result of which is the inevitable - the water will be cut off.

It could be worth being a little more diligent in checking your bank statements, and possibly also mentioning to the new Administrator that their remains a problem with receiving post at Hacienda.
