Tried it twice and failed miserably both times! Languages just won't stick in my brain. (plus they say that teachers make the worst students!). I may just try again in January and we can be Spanish epals!!!! And at least you'd know that you'll always be better than me.

He speaks a little Spanish and he's in his second year as a student at college. I too have been learning Spanish on and off for a few years. Mostly off I hasten to add. I can get by for basic needs, directions etc.
Quisiera aprender mas Espanol

Hola, que tal hoy.............
I took a 10 week Holiday Spanish course and found it really good. I also followed the Coffeebreak Spanish pod casts that you can download onto your i-pod. There are 80 episodes that last about 20 minutes each and start right at the beginning and works up to a fairly good level of the language. It's also free and I found it very good.
Also, there are 12 episodes of differant situations in Spain that are on the BBC languages website which, again, are very good.
Hope this is useful to someone....

The year I completed at college was more about conversational Spanish.
I have also got the Michel Thomas CD's and they are extremely good at teaching you about verbs and how to build up sentences - would definately recommend them.

Hi
Ongoing from learning the language through courses and college, etc, there no substitute for talking direct with the Spanish. They seem to appreciate our efforts and accept we will make mistakes and help us with sentances when we need help.
Although I have yet to complete, I for one will hopefuly have some friendly Spanish on site that can improve our grasp on the language. Who knows, we might be able to help them with their English.

I;ve been told before with my strong Welsh accent I get trouble with English people understanding me. God help the Spainish when I try to speak to them.
Luckily Angela can translate for me....but that's only in English so far...........
