Hi anyone purchased a tumble dryer for use in the winter? If so, where from and how much do they cost please. Our last couple of visits it rained on the last day just when all the washing was done and it was difficult to get dry before we left. Any advice.

Tumble dryers compare euro/pound over in Spain, any of the ferreterias sell them or specialist electrical outlets such as Activa on the Garrucha - Mojacar road or Euronics on the Buganvillas - Garrucha road, or there is always good old Ferreteria Lopez on Mojacar playa.  You could always leave your washing on a maiden in the lounge/kitchen/utility area and get your keyholder to put it away for you when they next check your apartment.

Didn't get a tumble drier, but did get a spin drier. At Pablos just down by the Dodge dealers in Vera. We got a 2800rpm spin drier for €120. The exchange rate was pretty pants at thetime so expensive, but even with the bad weather we had on the last couple of days the washing dried a lot quicker.

Mark can you remember the make ? I guess you have the same problem as us,slow spin on the provided washer. We had planned to replace with a faster spin when it breaks down. I had not considered your option . Where do you keep it?

Can't think who the manufacturer was, but am going out in a couple of weeks so can tell you from there. It takes an 8kg load and is only the same size as an "Ali Baba" washing basket, so fitted nicely in the back of the Corsa. We have a little utility area just off the kitchen where the washing machine and a line is, we keep ours out there. It makes one hell of a difference, and if you don't use the naff spin cycle on the washing machine, it saves about 10 minutes per wash cycle too. They also had the same machines in Lopez and Ferreteria Mojacar, but Pablos was about €20 cheaper (at the time).

The spin drier is made by Orbegozo (I hope that's right as it is all fancy writing!) and accepts a 5.2kg load. Used it today to spin it, put it out and was dry in 30 minutes!!

Yes Ken. Sods law says the weather will ge t beter in anticipation of me leaving . Just another little bonus is that you can use the non spin cycle on the washing machine which will save about 10 minutes per load. Okay, so the stuff comes ou a bit soggy, but a 2 minute spin while putting in the next load saves a lot of time on departure day, plus you have the benefit of more water being removed!
