Just checked my CAM bank account and seen that we've made a payment to URBASER of almost 200Euros. My first reaction was this was for the Electricity or water connection. But checking on Google, Urbaser seems to be a waste management service. Can't remember being told about this at completion in summer this year. Anyone else been charged for this? Or have more information about it??

Brian & Michelle.

Hi Brian

We have also noticed that money has been taken from our bank account on 4th December by URBASER which we thought was for water?

We have also had money taken out by IBERDROLA which is for the electricity meter.

Has anyone had money taken from their bank account for water charges, if so how much?

Pam

Hi Guys,

I can remember reading a previous post a couple of weeks ago, where I am sure that it was Kath that said in Spain your waste disposal is also dealt with by one of your connection companies, I am sure it was water???  May be worth checking the previous threads?

Kind Regards Kelly

Hi All

Yes we had taken from our bank at the beginning of October bt Urbaser 196.55 euros, it is for the water. Not had anything gone out for the electric.

TrishD

Is that 196.55 for connection, yearly or monthly charge. I'm trying to establish what my outgoings for things such as this are likely to be.

Thanks

Phil

Hi Phil

From what i understand this is a one off connection charge only nothing to do with usage.

Hi guys,

So does that mean that there is a usage charge on top of that?? Don't you just love the way they tell you that they are going to do this!!! Not like sending us a bill and letting us know when it will be taken

Hi All,

We had the Urbaser and Iberdrola direct debits as well, about 190 and 150E respectively.  As far as I know they are the one off charges for connection of water and electric.  Bills for usage are sent every 2 months after that (probably taken by direct debit) so don't leave your water heater on when you're not there!!!

Wouldn't be surprised if there was an annual standing charge as well but no idea what that might be - anyone know?

Regards

Tim

Hi All,

We are on Jardin 7 and have checked our Spanish account and nothing has been debitted (other than Mortgage).  Has anyone on Jardin 7 had the money debitted from their account?  Also if you have had it deducted did you pay Polaris 400 euro when you completed?

Kind Regards

Kelly & Simon

Hi Kelly/Simon

I am on Garden 7 and I have just checked my bank account, and there was  direct debits as well, 1 for 196 and 1 for 150E Urbaser and Iberdrola. We did'nt pay PW when we completed as we were told to have around 400 euro in our bank account for water and elctricity connections. I guess were all on the clock now.

I have had 150E taken from my account re IBERDROLA  although I am concerned as to whether I am connected as having read on a thread that they need to enter your apartment to connect up the electric. They have not been in touch with Carol my keyholder and I can obtain a reply with any clarity from Customer Services. Can anyone enlighten me as to how this change from the builders supply to the metered supply works please

Thanks

Simon

Soimon,

The meter goes in a secure box in the street but they usually need access to the apartment to insert the circuit breaker (25 amp) into the fuse box in the lounge area. This is what happened to us when we were in Jardines 1 about 10 days days ago. I think we were changed over around 21st Nov and money  (€150.25) came out of bank account within a week.

Jim
