Pool Opening Times

I have suggested to the Community Manager that the pool opening times should be extended to cover March and October.At present I believe opening is officially May to September.

The issue will be discussed at a Community meeting sometime in the new year .

If you have any particular views on the subject they should be made known to the Community manager soon.

I emailed my support for the pool opening and closing months today.

Hope everyone else follows suit if we can offer more pool time it may encourage more people to rent.

When is the community meeting and what is the process do we need to have a representation and how is it decided

I am wondering what the size of our pool is. If it is over 200m2 the community under Spanish law must provide a lifeguard which is quite costly and will bring our community fees up significantly. I'm over next week I will enquire. But I would agree May seems very late to open the Pool.  Maybe mid march to mid October? I suppose everyone would have different opinions.

Was over in beautiful Almerimar from 29th December to 5th January 2009 and the kids swam in the pool for the whole week...granted they were "pink" as they said themselves when they came out but the swam nevertheless.  It was open at that time so we used it.

I too will be supporting longer opening times.  Hi Derek Mc....you are in the same block as us....saw your name listed on the Community Fees listing of payments allocated to each apartment completed....we are on 2nd floor.....

I don't think there's a lot we can do at the moment in block 5 because there are still a lot of people waiting to complete so will they listen to us at this early stage?

It will definitely affect rentals.....the people I had renting from us at the end of October all asked if the pool was open and the feedback from them after their stay was that they were delighted that the pool was open.

Any neighbours in block 6 yet?  it was ghost block in december but be nice to hear from anyone else in block.

Just read with interest some of the comments about pool opening times/ season,  I would like to offer my support in extending the  opening season, I was told when we were out in April by Rashid/Paul that officially the season is  June 1st to September 30th when iI asked why he told me "that's when the Spanish come out !" , as the temperature that week was 75f we all used the pool regardless without any problems.

If you're renting to people from Easter onwards with the likelihood of good weather the pool should be made available for use, say from Easter to mid October.  Someone told me they had people renting this month the weather was great but they couldn't use the pool and there were notices up to say so!  That shouldn't happen in May.

We were over at Christmas and used the pool.....my kids nearly froze to death and turned blue when they hit the water but we used it !!!
