We hope everyone had a thoroughly good New Years Eve and were able to let 2009 in style.
We arrived back from Condado during the evening and so had a quiet welcome for 2009. We had a great 5 nights at the apartment although it was a bit chillier than expected; apparently Christmas Day had been so good people had their Christmas lunch up on the roof terraces whilst in swimwear!! We arrived to a cold snap on Boxing Day- thank heavans for the radiators.
Everywhere on Condado looks great and the shrubs and trees begin to look more established- even that 'cowshed' up on a pergola didnt look so bad. Fortunately its on a garden end block and over looks the far road so isnt really in anyones face. We had a drive up and around Naranjos too which also begins to look established. PW seem to be digging the deepest trench in the world along the back of the Jardines from about the back of Jardines 5 and up, edging the golf course ,whether its the start of foundations or they are setting up pipework for the future its hard to say . They were busy along that stretch all the time we were there. We didnt find anyone to ask any questions of this time, which is a pity because we are curious about what will back the Jardines in the future. We couldnt even get our post box key because the 'key' man was lunching when we called one day and then not on site the next- mind you it only looks like leaflets in our box.
Didnt make it to the bar at all- other than to show it to my Mum but my husband and son made good use of Camposol to view the football. Here's hoping there will be sports bar on the Foro or I'll never see them!! Fortunately we did find a bit of sport on one channel of the tv but roll on the PW package!
Picking up from another thread about dogs, we saw many dogs being taken for walks, including a couple of substantial sized white ones.who were both always on a leash. People seem to head for the rough ground edging the golf course to let them have a run now.
Many thanks to Carol for having the apartment set up so well and for all the running around when it looked like we would have no water for our arrival. I hope your New Years party went well.
So we now feel we are all set and shopping is just for those fiddly bits- phew- and we are looking forward to our first proper year using the apartment.
Happy New Year to all.
