Hello everyone,
My solicitors have advised me that due to the problems of Nadasol going bust that all Medina clients must send a write to court containing proof that they have already made deposits.
This incudes a signed statement which I can email if you reply to this and copies of bank statments detailing the deposits paid.
My solicitors office have told me this process will cost 340 euros. I feel that this is unessary and called Sharon who agreed with me. The solicitors should already be able to provide proof, after all, they have dealt with our purchases from the start.
They inform me however that if I do not pay this money then I take the chance of the courts taking my apartment from me!!!!!!!
So far my solicitors costs are:
3517.92 euro (fees)
22,749.83 euro 10% deposit
49,951.51 euro 20% deposit
300 euros provision of funds
116 euro NIE number procurement (paid)
69.72 euro bank opening (paid)
348 euro direct debit set up (paid)
390 euro utilities meter purchase (not yet paid)
It'd be great to hear what everyone else has to say on this to see if former H2O clients are being riped off by these solicitors or not. I tried to call peninsula too today but no one was in. A response from them would be great too, thanks guys.
Colin
